DURING LABOUR
Support you at home in early labour or meet you at the hospital or birth centre
Continuous, practical support for you (and your partner), by phone text or in person
Help you decide when to go to hospital
Encourage and remind you and others of your birth preferences.
Ensure all your physical needs are met such as hydration, food etc
Ensure your environment is how you want it.
Make suggestions for non-pharmaceutical pain options as discussed in your birth preferences.
Apply massage and counter pressure etc, during labour
Take photos on your phone or camera.
1-3 hours of continued support after the birth- or until you no longer need me to stay.
Help with establishing breastfeeding
Meet with you a few days post-partum to debrief, answer any questions and offer parenting support and services.
